Increased Need For Research on Jurors
American Private Investigators Used For Court
Jury consultants and trial lawyers typically compose jury questionnaires for
potential jurors to answer during voir dire, if approved by judges.
Some of the questionnaires
are very basic :
They ask the usual questions about:
— employment record, marital status, age, criminal record.
But some other questionnaires are dozens of pages long
and are more highly detailed and psychologically sophisticated.
Still, consultants and lawyers have found that jurors don't always answer the
questions honestly. So they have, in recent years, begun hiring pro private investigators
and conducting their own research on jurors.
This professional research in situ would use web search tools such as
Net Detective Plus.
